The length of the Communion Dress

If the child is very young, a floor-length communion dress will not be practical. Although many prefer the look and style of the floor-length communion dress, it is not small leg friendly and so would best be suited for an older or taller girl. You also do not want the dress to cover up the communion dress’ greatest accessory; the shoe. The first communion dress shoe should certainly be comfortable for the child to be in for a day of celebration, but should harmonize the communion ensemble in a way that completes the outfit.
